CANDLE CARE
- Trim the wooden wick before each burn, including before the first burn, to prevent excessive sooting and maintain a steady flame.
- Burn the wooden wick candle for 3-4 hours during the first burn and subsequent burns to allow the wax to pool around the edges of the candle and emit fragrance without tunneling.
- Monitor the flame, and if it becomes taller than 1 inch, carefully extinguish the candle, wait for the wax to harden, and trim the wooden wick down to 1/4 inch to remove the black carbon layer.
- Discontinue use of the candle when there is only 1/4 inch of wax left in the jar or when the bottom of the jar is visible through the wax to prevent excessive sooting or overheating.
- To avoid cracks in your candle, trim the wicks, center them at all times, and avoid drafts that can cause overheating.
- If your candle tunnels, burn it 2-3 times for 3-4 hour increments to allow the wax to pool around the edges of the candle and self-correct.
- If your candle's flame self-extinguishes, wait until the wick is cool, loosen the fibers, and relight it. If it still won't stay lit, contact us.
- To maximize fragrance performance, burn your candle for 3-4 hours each time, avoid drafts from vents or fans, and use single wick candles in smaller rooms and double or triple wick candles in larger rooms.
In addition, always keep the wick centered and trimmed to 1/4 inch, burn the candle within sight, keep it away from children and pets and anything that can catch fire, remove all packaging before burning, place it on a temperature-safe surface, keep it away from drafts, keep the wax pool free of debris, and do not burn it for more than 4 hours at a time. Finally, never use water or any other liquid to extinguish your candle.
Please contact us if you have tried these suggestions and your candle will still not remain lit.
